INSTALLATION

overview.

I designed a large-scale installation for the Northwest Entrance of the Paycom Center, sponsored by Ford Dealers of Oklahoma, featuring bold visual elements that unite the Ford and Thunder brands while maintaining a timeless appeal.

challenge.

The primary challenge was to showcase Ford trucks without highlighting specific features that could become outdated with new models, while also creating a cohesive visual connection between the Ford and Thunder brands that feels natural within the arena space.

solution.

The solution featured a primary bulkhead with the Ford Dealers of Oklahoma logo framed by semi-abstract photo collages of Ford trucks overlaid a cracked dirt texture, symbolizing toughness and Oklahoma heritage. A blue gradient map unified the Ford and Thunder brands and abstracted the dirt texture into a lightning-like effect.

The secondary bulkhead emphasized the connection further with the phrase “Built Like Oklahoma,” reinforcing the toughness of Ford trucks and their connection to the state and team. The project began with conceptual development to establish a visual direction that balanced Ford’s rugged brand identity with the Thunder’s dynamic brand aesthetics.

I conducted a custom photoshoot, securing access to Ford’s latest truck models to capture high-quality images. The final design incorporated layered textures, gradients, and typography to create a cohesive and lasting brand experience across the space. Approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of vinyl was used to bring the vision to life.
